Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need a special set-up for you to do your presentation?
A: We do not require any special setup for our birthday party presentations or other events. We will bring with us everything that we need. All of the animals will arrive in secure totes and crates and it only takes us a moment or two to get set up. We also bring with us a lined blanket to lay out on the floor just in case one of the animals has an accident during our show, or to catch any shavings, hay, or food bits. This does happen on occasion, and we will always leave our location as clean as it was when we arrived. One thing we do ask is that all personal pets are kept out of the room where the presentation will be taking place.
Q: Will we get to touch the animals during the presentation?
A: Yes, there will be interaction with the animals during the presentation. All of the participants will be given equal opportunity. During birthday parties the children can touch or hold all of the animals that we bring with us with the exception of the tarantula as they are venomous. Typically for larger events we limit the handling, but everyone will still get equal opportunity.
Q: Is it safe to touch the animals?
A: Yes, it is safe. We do not engage in unsafe practices such as leaving children unattended with our animals or putting snakes around anyone's necks. Despite the fact that some show companies will allow these things to happen, safety for the audience and for the animals are our number one concern. Our employees and volunteers are all trained in the handling of the animals that we use in our shows, and all of the animals are selected based on their tolerance to frequent handling and their temperament. We will NEVER bring a dangerous animal to our shows and, in fact, we guarantee that none of our show animals have ever bitten anyone, including our staff.
Q: Can I serve food during my party?
A: While you certainly can serve food at your party we ask that it be done prior to the presentation or afterwards as the presentation is interactive. For health and safety reasons we discourage anyone from putting their hands near their mouth when touching any animals. We encourage everyone to wash their hands with soap and water after the show, even if food has already been eaten.
Q: Are the parents allowed to stay to see the presentation?
A: Parents are more than welcome to stay to see the show as well. We understand that reptiles are misunderstood and that snakes and spiders are among some of the most feared animals on the planet, so we take the time to speak with everyone and can even help you try to overcome your fear.
Q: Is a deposit required to book and what methods of payment do you accept?
A: Yes, a $50 deposit is required at the time of booking and the deposit will be deducted from your total bill. Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for more information. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, Email Money Transfer, and PayPal for your deposit.
